Early Modern Texts

Early Modern Texts is a site that provides versions of some classics of early modern philosophy, and a few from the 19th century, prepared with a view to making them easier to read while leaving intact the main arguments, doctrines, and lines of thought.

The site was originally set up by Jonathan Bennett, who also prepared the texts. As of December 2013, Jonathan has handed over the ownership and maintenance of the site to Peter Millican and Amyas Merivale (both of Hertford College, Oxford), though he will continue to work on the preparation of more texts.
